Thoughts.........
1. For some reason the "whales" come before the other beasts. This jives with me evolutionarily in that water animals preceded terrestrial animals. Are "whales" what we are calling the dinosaurs now?*
2. I find it interesting that Adam was the one who gave names to that which surrounds him- not god.
If I bought into a strict Sapir-Whorfian hypothesis I would be all WHAAAAA way to be super existential bible... but I don't buy into a strict Sapir-Whorf.**
3. Man is crafted from dirt and woman from bone. My reading on this is that man is more fragile. I believe my sister's reading differs.
* This is a Mosasaur. One of my favorite prehistoric beasts and the stuff of nightmares. He's technically not a dinosaur but I'm taking liberties.
** The Sapir-Whorf hypothesis is that our concept of the world is governed by the language we speak and have access to. For more information see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sapir_Whorf
